The Simple Pleasures began as an online blog for personal use.  Then, I realized I could not provide as much information as I wanted to on Facebook for Forever Faithful.  So now, this blog will be used for Forever Faithful to discuss the same original issues of relationships.

Forever Faithful (www.forever-faithful.com) was birthed for intimacy because I wanted more than sex, more than a boyfriend, more than a husband .. I wanted intimacy.  One would think that intimacy comes with sex, or with a boyfriend, or with a husband but sometimes it does not.  While Forever Faithful focuses on sexual intimacy between partners, I believe during preparation for sex, during conversations, foreplay, and the engagement of sex a deeper relationship develops … and thus psychological intimacy births or strengthens.  There is also another level of intimacy called spiritual intimacy.  “The Christian perspective is that need for intimacy must be fulfilled on the spiritual plane first in our relationships to God.  As we experience God’s love for us and develop an intimate relationship with Him, we can begin to experience more true intimacy in our relationships with others.” [i]

What is intimacy?  Intimacy is a noun; a person, place or thing.  It means the state of being intimate, which is a verb, an action.  Intimate, the verb, means very private; closely personal.  It also means a close association with or detailed knowledge or deep understanding of a subject.

Forever Faithful provides couples with the tools they need to heighten or intensify intimacy within their relationship …. regardless of intimacy level(s) – physical (sexual), psychological, or spiritual.
